ASTM A514 Gr B steel plate is a high strength, high tensile steel plate. It is a hardened and tempered alloy steel used primarily in structural applications where high strength and durability are required.
ASTM A514 Gr B has a minimum yield strength of 100,000 psi (690 MPa) and excellent mechanical properties. It has excellent toughness, impact resistance and weldability for use in demanding environments such as construction, mining and heavy machinery.
The steel plate is heat-treated and hardened for increased hardness and strength. It has a tensile strength of 110-130 ksi (760-900 MPa) and can withstand high stress and load bearing conditions.
ASTM A514 Gr B steel plate meets the requirements of the ASTM A514 standard and is available in thicknesses from 1/4 inch to 8 inches.
